Until my last breath By Dawn Yzaguirre Chapter Six
Note: This will be a Round Robin story between Dawn and Sharon "We hope you will enjoy our story"
After everyone had given their congratulations to the happy couple, Jamie approached and led them to the traditional bridal table.
They sat down in the middle of the beautifully decorated table with their wedding party on either side, along with Father, Mary and Peter.
As soon as everyone had reached a table, Father stood and raised his glass, "I'd like to be the first to toast this remarkable occasion."
Turning toward Vincent and Catherine he smiled a bit tearfully, "I once had great misgivings about this relationship, but I'm very proud to say that dear Catherine has proven that all my fatherly worries were unjust. Catherine you and these babies are the greatest gift to ever come into my son's life. Be happy."
After the toast, Catherine slowly rose and moved toward her new father's side. She smiled through her tears, as she embraced him, "Thank you for accepting me into your family." Father smiled as he wiped the tears from her cheeks, "Welcome home daughter."
Once Catherine had taken her seat beside Vincent once again, there were more toasts to the happy couple and their future children. After everyone had eaten their fill with the enormous feast that William had created, the band started playing.
People rose from their tables and moved onto the dance floor. Catherine was deep in conversation with Mary when Vincent rose, and held out his hand, "Would my beautiful wife care to dance?"
Catherine smiled radiantly as she placed her hand into his, "I'd be proud to dance with my wonderful husband." With that, he escorted her from the table and onto the dance floor.
As soon as they had started waltzing all the other dancers stopped, and moved off the dance floor letting the bridal couple enjoy their first dance together. Catherine smiled as she looked around, "I do believe that everyone was waiting for us to dance."
Vincent chuckled as he tightened his hold on her, "I believe you're right, my love."
A couple of hours later, the party was still in full swing. Both Vincent and Catherine had spent their time dancing together and with other various tunnel family and friends.
Finally after one of their dances apart, Vincent made his way back to his wife's side. He smiled one of his rare smiles, as he leaned down and whispered in her ear. "Are you ready to take leave of our reception?"
Catherine shivered hearing the emotion in his voice as she smiled, "I thought you'd never ask."
Taking her hand, Vincent led her to where Jacob and Peter were talking. The older men smiled as the couple told them of their intentions. After kissing the bride on the cheek both men watched as Vincent led her toward the door of the great hall.
Suddenly a shout from one of the children alerting everyone else that Vincent and Catherine were leaving. With cries of good wishes the crowd began throwing rose petals, as Vincent picked up his wife and ran from the room.
